Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that the Chelsea board are actually collectively big fans of one manager.
He told his Substack that they are admirers of Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim, who has enjoyed another strong season in the game so far.
Amorim is currently sitting second in the table in Portugal, and has a Europa League knock out game to prepare for too.

His side have become quite the team to break down, particularly when playing at home. They have not lost domestically in their own ground this season.
Amorim has successfully built his side around Viktor Gyokeres, with him sitting as one of the top scorers in Europe.
Chelsea reportedly have him high up on their transfer list as a potential signing to try and sort out their striker woes.
Chelsea board love Amorim
Phillips has now claimed that he is not the only man in Lisbon who they have an admiration for at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “It’s now been described as if and not when Pochettino will be leaving the club, even if he does end up lasting until the summer. Sources don’t see a way forward with him anymore regardless, because of all that has gone on and all I have described above.
“They are already looking at options to replace Pochettino and are drawing up lists of interim options as well as long-term permanent options.
“In terms of names, I don’t have anything solid yet, but I know that they spoke to Arne Slot more than once right before they decided to hire Pochettino, and I know that Ruben Amorim is very much liked by the Chelsea board.”
While the pressure is high on Mauricio Pochettino, it does feel as if he will be given the chance to win his first trophy in England by taking the side for the EFL Cup final later this month.
