Noni Madueke hailed Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer after the duo helped secure an impressive win at Luton Town this afternoon.

The Blues played their final match of the calendar year on Saturday, recording a 3-2 away victory at Luton in the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side conceded two late goals to make it a nervous finish, but the visitors looked in real control for most of the game at Kenilworth Road.

Madueke showered his fellow Chelsea attacker with huge praise after the weekend victory at Luton.

Madueke’s goal was a real peach with his weaker right foot. However, Palmer stole the show with two excellent finishes of his own, including a super composed effort inside the penalty box that we doubt many players could replicate in a game scenario.

When discussing Palmer, Madueke told BBC Sport: “That’s him all over. He is very composed, very relaxed in goal scoring situations and I’m happy for him. He has done very well since he came into the team.”

Madueke and Palmer were both of a front four that played really well at Luton.

Nicolas Jackson looked very lively from the left wing. Similarly, Madueke was the same on the right, offering a lot both defensively and offensively.

But Palmer was the star of the show in the No 10 position behind the central striker Armando Broja.

Speaking via TNT Sports 1 after the game, Jermaine Jenas hailed Palmer as “sensational”.

There’s still plenty of games this season when Chelsea’s forward line is struggling to break down a low block, but they’ve now got a consistent attacker like Palmer capable of producing a piece of magic.

The composure and maturity he shows at the age of 21 is remarkable. It’s crazy to see him emerge as one of the leaders in this squad with the way he’s performing on a weekly basis.
