Chelsea youngsters have mostly struggled on loan this season, and this fate has often not escaped their senior stars either.

Despite the fact that Romelu Lukaku is firing in the goals for Roma, this level of success has not been easy to come by for all.

There are already reports that Galatasaray are considering terminating the loan of Hakim Ziyech.

Another former first team player, Kepa Arrizabalaga has now fallen out of favour as a starter at Real Madrid, after moving there on loan earlier this season.

The intention for him was to fill the void left between the sticks by Thibaut Courtois when he suffered a serious injury earlier this season.

In a rare appearance last night, he saw plenty of goals at both ends as they beat city rivals Atletico Madrid 5-3 in the cup.

Kepa and Rudiger howler

One particular moment he did not cover himself in glory was when he had a nightmare trying to deal with a high ball, instead punching it straight at his teammate and into the back of his own net.

The player in question was former Blue Antonio Rudiger, who found the net at both ends in a dramatic evening in Spain.

Reports at this stage have claimed that a bit of negotiation may be required in order for both teams to reach an agreement over a permanent fee.

It has been claimed by the player himself though that he does not see his future at Stamford Bridge, and instead would like to keep going at the Bernabeu if the possibility arises.

Chelsea will likely be looking in a different direction when it comes to their number one, with Djordje Petrovic already looking solid since he was brought into the side in Robert Sanchez’s absence through injury.
