Reports have claimed that Chelsea have a plan in mind as to what to do about the ongoing injury problems affecting the club right now.

According to the Daily Mail, the club are looking to make a big change in the next few weeks that should hopefully begin to ease the crisis they are experiencing right now.

Of all the clubs in the Premier League who are having problems with injuries right now, few will feel as hard done by as Chelsea have been.

Chelsea injury crisis

They have seen a number of first team players be affected badly this season, making life very difficult for manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Club captain Reece James has been available for just a handful of games this season, while every other full-back at the club has experienced problems that have kept them out for a prolonged period of time too.

Wesley Fofana has been out for the entire season, and is unlikely to actually return to action until the end of the campaign.

The players the club brought in over the summer have also been affected badly, scuppering a number of plans the club had for this season in an instant. Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku have hardly featured as a result of this.

Chelsea looking to hire coach to reduce injuries

It seems the club have finally had enough of this, with them now reportedly looking into hiring a new physical performance coach to try and begin to reduce the amount of injuries they are having.

There is still hope at Stamford Bridge that the Blues can qualify for European football next season, however unlikely that looks right now.

Nevertheless, the potential increase in fixtures would see a real need for players to keep fit, and feature regularly, and regular injuries to be avoided for the rest of the campaign and beyond is a good start to this.
