Journalist Sam Lee has claimed that Chelsea fans were equipped with an answer to Manchester City supporters looking to get a response at Stamford Bridge.

He took to Twitter to state that they were sure to let their opponents know who it was that beat them in the Champions League final back in 2021.

The two sides played out a pulsating 4-4 draw in West London last night, with the Blues showing their fight and determination to come from behind three times.

The final time was after substitute Armando Broja was recklessly brought down in the penalty area by Ruben Dias in added time.

Cole Palmer stepped up against his former side to find the net from the spot, sending the home fans crazy following another great performance.

The atmosphere was superb from both sides, who both went through the ringer during the 90 minute affair.

Chelsea fans chant to City supporters

Fresh off their Champions League victory last summer, City fans have not been shy to let their opponents know what they achieved.

This of course, did not come across so well against a side who have won the competition twice, especially with one coming against them two years ago.

Sam tweeted: “I think the irony of the City fans’ ‘You’ll never sing that’ chant has been lost on a lot of the home fans. ‘We saw you crying in Porto’ is quite good though.”

Yesterday saw Chelsea prove that they can compete with sides who are right at the top of the table, however there is still a lot of work to be done for Mauricio Pochettino in terms of consistency.

Nevertheless, there will be a good felling surrounding the club going into the international break, before their tricky domestic run continues.
