Chelsea players have returned to training as they prepare to continue the return of the Premier League at the weekend against West Ham.

The Blues kept up their 100% record away from home domestically under Enzo Maresca with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Bournemouth, where they relied on their strength in depth.

Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku came off the bench to combine for the only goal, with them now pushing for a place in the starting side after their brilliant impacts.

Sancho was training alone on Monday as he pushes to get his match fitness up, however was back amongst the first team yesterday.

The Blues carried out a gym session as part of yesterday’s training, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall one of those pictured in action on the 5th Stand App.

In the background of the image of the Englishman, an image can be seen titled ‘Why we do what we do’ which shows Nkunku holding off a defender to find the net on Saturday.

Gary Cahill was impressed at how Nkunku managed to score in the situation he was put in at the weekend, with the finishing ability he has rivalled by very few in a Chelsea shirt.

It is likely great to see for the staff at Chelsea if they feel like their hard work is paying off, with them potentially seeing it as three points gained due to the work they are doing outside of matchdays.

Enzo Maresca given injury boost

Maresca now has a squad which is the size he would desire after a busy summer transfer window which saw over 40 players leave the club either permanently on loan.

He will certainly have some decisions to make when naming his side for the London derby at the weekend, and he has been handed a boost when it comes to players available.

Both Malo Gusto and Romeo Lavia are back in training, with a natural right-back something that was obviously missing against Bournemouth.
