Levi Colwill and Chelsea started their Premier League campaign with a defeat against Manchester City.
Chelsea hosted the champions at Stamford Bridge on Sunday but were not able to get anything from the game after losing 2-0.
Levi Colwill started the match in central defence and it was not his worst performance in a blue shirt.
The 21-year-old and his teammates are having to get used to a new manager. And Colwill says it has been different under Enzo Maresca.

Levi Colwill’s pass success rate against Man City
Maresca is a manager who wants to retain possession, and Colwill is going to help his team to do that this season by the looks of things.
According to WhoScored, the centre-back recorded a pass success rate of 97.9% against City over the weekend.
Out of all of the players who made 30+ passes, no footballer in the Premier League managed to register a better pass success rate than Colwill.
He now looks likely to be one of Maresca’s first-choice centre-backs for the 2024/25 season. Wesley Fofana partnered Colwill in defence in the City defeat, but Steve Nicol had doubts about Fofana going into the campaign.
Levi Colwill could be rested for Chelsea’s next game
Chelsea take on Servette next in the first leg of their Conference League play-off tie.
With Maresca having so many centre-half options and the Blues playing again on Sunday, it would not be a surprise to see Colwill — described as “fantastic” by Mauricio Pochettino in the past — given a rest on Thursday.
Benoit Badiashile or Tosin Adarabioyo could come in for the 21-year-old, while Axel Disasi could be an alternative for him later down the line when the Frenchman is ready to play football again.
Chelsea are keen on Liverpool’s Joe Gomez, so the England international could also be another centre-back option that Maresca has to consider in the future. As for now, though, Colwill and Fofana are likely to be his two main players for that area of the pitch.
