Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran was targeted by Chelsea in the summer, but a deal did not happen in the end.
At one stage, it was claimed that amid their interest in him, Chelsea had concerns about Jhon Duran’s attitude. With that interest eventually cooling, the Blues prioritised Victor Osimhen.
Again, though, the club did not get a deal over the line for the 25-year-old, who went on to join Galatasaray on loan from Napoli.
Chelsea will get another chance to sign a striker when the transfer window reopens in January, and if they decide to consider Duran again, they may not have to worry about his attitude this time.

Jhon Duran’s attitude
Any concerns Chelsea may have had about Duran’s character may be able to go out of the window now.
According to TBR, Villa manager Unai Emery had also questioned the forward’s attitude. However, the outlet reports that Emery has been impressed with it lately and feels it has improved over the summer.
The Spaniard will also be happy with what he is getting from Duran on the pitch at the moment. In the three games that Duran has played for Villa this season — none of them being starts — he managed to score two goals.
Some Chelsea fans even showed their admiration for Duran after he netted in the Villans’ 2-1 win against Leicester City.
Jhon Duran’s attitude should not be a major concern for Chelsea
Duran is only 20 and was overlooked at Villa last season, making just three starts in the Premier League.
The Colombian showing some immaturity and frustration should not come as a complete shock.
If Chelsea genuinely want him and feel that he can improve Enzo Maresca‘s squad, then the above should not deter them.
Osimhen still appears to be the club’s main target for the centre-forward position, though, with John Obi Mikel not ruling out an Osimhen deal happening in January. If that does not happen, then maybe Chelsea will prioritise Duran.
