Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was not too happy with his side’s first-half performance against Preston North End yesterday.
Chelsea actually managed to win the FA Cup tie 4-0 in the end, but all four of those goals came in the second half of the game.
The Blues failed to score in the first 45 minutes of the match and clearly not happy with what he had seen, Mauricio Pochettino headed straight down the tunnel before the referee had even blown for half-time, according to Evening Standard journalist Nizaar Kinsella.
You would have to assume that words were said before the Chelsea players came out for the second half and if they were, it worked.
The Blues’ next match is another cup game, this time in the Carabao Cup against Middlesbrough.

Mauricio Pochettino pleased overall right now
In general, Pochettino is probably satisfied with how Chelsea’s last few matches have gone. They have recovered from that loss at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Since then, they have beaten Crystal Palace and Luton Town in the Premier League and now Preston in the FA Cup.
And with the transfer window open, things could be about to get much better for Pochettino.
Chelsea now have the chance to sign a new striker, with the club being heavily linked with Ivan Toney from west London rivals Brentford.
A signing like that could add real firepower to the Blues’ squad and help them in their quest for European football. Last season, Toney scored 20 goals in 33 Premier League appearances.
However, getting him out of the Gtech Community Stadium will not be easy, with Thomas Frank recently making it clear that it would take a huge offer for Brentford to sell.
“I would say it needs to be an unbelievable price,” Frank was quoted as saying by Brentford’s official website.
