What Mauricio Pochettino is going to speak to Chelsea owner Todd Boehly about today

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is now set for talks with the Chelsea owners and sporting directors today.

The boss told the Evening Standard that he was set for talks with those in charge regarding the recent financial reports the club published.

That very report showcased the Blues registering losses of around £90m, although the club still firmly believe that they stuck to the rules since the new owners came in.

Todd Boehly and co have not been afraid to spend big money since they came in the best part of two years ago.

They have overseen the club smashing their transfer record twice already, after bringing in both Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in consecutive windows.

They have also looked to invest heavily in the youth, signing a number of players with the aim of them starring in the future.

What Boehly and Pochettino are set to talk about

Kendry Paez is arguably the star addition in this category, with him already a fully-established international for Ecuador at the age of just 16.

While it remains to be seen if there will be any punishment off the back of their spending, it also hasn’t been see yet if it will affect them ahead of this summer.

Pochettino has now claimed he is set for talks today with those in charge regarding the situation.

He said: “I don’t know. I don’t know because I need to be informed. Until today, we haven’t talked about that.

“Today the club announced the finances. This afternoon or tomorrow we will talk, and after tomorrow I will be informed for sure. But I don’t know what is going to happen.”

It has previously been reported that the Blues are targeting a big signing up top at the end of the season.

Victor Osimhen has been frequently mentioned as the top target, however they will likely need to sell big before making any signings that could change their fortunes.
