Of all the players who Chelsea have seemingly decided to freeze out from the first team picture, one high-profile case remains at the club.

Ben Chilwell was the vice-captain of the Blues just months ago, however he is now nowhere to be seen at Stamford Bridge.

It has been claimed that Chilwell was hoping to be given opportunities in the Conference League this season, with him aware before being snubbed that a number of first team stars were not going to be involved.

The youngsters promising start to life in England has seen him rewarded with a senior Portugal call-up, where he travelled with club teammates Pedro Neto and Joao Felix.

With these two very much the first two options at the club right now, it leaves little space for Chilwell to be involved in any capacity.

It perhaps explains why they have pushed so hard to sell him since the summer transfer window closed in England, asking numerous sides in Turkey if they would be prepared to sign him.
