Chelsea’s Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday has suddenly taken a real turn.
The Blues will have been fancying their chances of a result at Old Trafford before the news that Erik ten Hag had been sacked as manager.
Now, Chelsea’s task of beating United as become a lot harder, with there likely to be a brand new level of excitement inside the stadium.

Supporters of the Blues will be familiar with the top candidate currently mentioned for the job. Ruben Amorim expected to be appointed.
The current Sporting Lisbon boss has been linked in the past with the hotseat at Stamford Bridge, however they have always looked in another direction instead.
Ruben Amorim expected to be in charge of Manchester United for Chelsea game
It is looking increasingly likely though that he will be in the dugout opposite Enzo Maresca for their clash in the Premier League on Sunday.
According to The Times, the expectation now is that the Portuguese manager will be in charge ahead of the two sides meeting at the weekend.
It is expected therefore that club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy will be in charge for the Carabao Cup game this week before the new boss is brought in.
Chelsea benefitted from Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho rift
Chelsea may well have been the benefactors for a number of reasons of Ten Hag’s time at United. The Dutchman was very critical of Jadon Sancho during their time together.
This saw them desperate to get rid of him, with Chelsea cashing in on the situation with a deadline day move for the England international.
He has held down the left-wing position for the majority of this campaign, although has been displaced in recent games by Pedro Neto.
Neto was named in the Premier League Team of the Week for his performance against Newcastle, and will be hoping to continue that run of form against United on Sunday.
Sancho will not be available for the game, with the opposition being his parent club for the rest of the season.
