After an electric start to the season, the mood is anything but positive around Chelsea off the back of their recent run of form.
The Blues have just two wins from their last 10 league games, and suffered another tough defeat late on to Aston Villa at the weekend.
This has seen Enzo Maresca’s side drop out of the top four, making their push for Champions League football this season very tough to convert.

It has been claimed that Maresca has caused issues for his squad with how he selected his side in the first half of the season. The Blues seemed to have a ‘B-team’ who would feature in the Conference League and other cup competitions.

Arsenal and Liverpool scared Chelsea project will come good
The aim for the Blues chiefs has been to have two competent options in every position on the pitch, although they quickly realised that will prove a difficult way to keep the whole squad happy.
The likes of Joao Felix, Renato Veiga and Axel Disasi left in January due to a lack of minutes, while Christopher Nkunku is not sharp at a time where the Blues desperately need him.
Despite all these problems, it looks as if the Blues are making a good impression on their rivals.
According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea’s elite competitors at the top of the table have taken note of their project, and are fearful that it will come to fruition.
He said on “ConnCFC’s X space: ‘Senior sources at Liverpool, Arsenal and other clubs believe that Chelsea’s model is going to work and fear Chelsea’s ambition.”
Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have not always proven popular with their decisions since taking over as owners of the club.
The duo have had their differences as well. An ownership rift was heavily reported earlier this season, although talk of dispute has seemed to disappear for now.

How Todd Boehly feels about current Chelsea team
More than a billion pounds has been spent on the Chelsea squad for both the present and the future, however many will have expected more return from that investment at this stage.
One thing that has been clear is the lack of leaders and experience they have available for them. No player older than 27 has featured for the Blues this season.
Boehly believes Chelsea need more experience, and this could impact the signings the Blues look to make in key areas.
One area that needs reinforcements is centre-back, and the Premier League experience that Marc Guehi has could see him crop up as the number one target when this season comes to an end.
