Pundit Chris Sutton has now shared what left him really worried about Chelsea after watching them last night.
He told Sky Sports News that he felt the gulf in quality between the two teams last night would really worry him if he was backing the club to finish in the European places this season.
Chelsea were embarrassed at Anfield last night as they took part in what many saw as a dress rehearsal for the EFL Cup final later this month.

If last night’s display was anything to go by, there is not a lot of positives to go by. Only really the performances of Christopher Nkunku and Djordje Petrovic are the good things the travelling supporters left with.
Sutton has now given his honest take on the performance put in by Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
He said: “I think that Chelsea have made progress, but when you spend the amount they have they would have expected it to be quicker. Last night, what we saw, Liverpool demolished Chelsea and there was such a big gap, and that will be the worry.
“Mauricio Pochettino will probably think he needs European football, but I’m not sure they’re going to do that”
The Blues will need to up their game if they are to get a result from their next Premier League game against Wolves on Sunday.
At this stage of the transfer deadline day, it does not look as if they are going to have any new additions to add to their ranks before that game comes around.
They could be down a striker though, with Armando Broja strongly linked with a loan move away from the club in the final few hours of the window.
