Former Chelsea star Joe Cole has now shared what he would tell Todd Boehly if he could speak to him right now.
He told the ‘Obi One’ podcast that he would be desperate for the club not to sell Conor Gallagher at any point in the next two transfer windows.
It has been widely reported that Chelsea would consider a solid bid for Gallagher if one came in as early as this month.
Tottenham have been reported to be interested in him, however there are currently no concrete negotiations between the two rivals.
Cole has now given his take on the saga, pleading with the ownership to not let him leave under any circumstances.
He said: “I think Conor, and one thing I put above anything else, he has ability and believe me I have seen him up close, he is a very talented player. I think he will keep getting better, in the same way Jordan Henderson did at Liverpool.

“I think it would be a travesty if Chelsea let him go. They are talking about homegrown players, and there are rumours about him going to Tottenham. Please don’t. If I could speak to the owners now, just please don’t do that.
“Is Conor as gifted as Enzo or Cole Palmer? Arguably not technically but if I’m picking a team and you need to win, he’s playing every week. If you let that go out the dressing room as well, the unseen things you miss. If someone is listening at the club, please keep Conor Gallagher!
“Forget how much money he is worth on the spreadsheet, find the money somewhere else. The kid is going to get better and better and be a massive player for Chelsea.”
Mauricio Pochettino has clearly taken a liking to the midfielder, with him starting near enough every game he has been available for.
It would therefore likely throw a spanner in the manager’s plans for the rest of the season, and likely irritate him a lot.
