Jamie Carragher was left stunned on CBS Sports after Thierry Henry made a claim that he would have loved to play under former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese boss has undoubtedly reached legendary status with the Blues and their supporters after two successful stints as manager.

He has three Premier League titles to his name, as well as a host of domestic trophies from his time in England, not just from West London.

Mourinho has recently been linked with a sensational return to the club, as pressure continues to mount on current boss Graham Potter.

A run of two wins in 14 games is seeing the Stamford Bridge faithful begin to lose patience with the former Brighton man, as they lose confidence that he is the right man to lead the project.

The Roma boss himself has even reportedly registered his own interest in returning to the club for a third stint one day.

Henry praises Mourinho

His time in the game is highly rated by fans and pundits alike, with Henry going as far as to claim he wishes he had played under him in his career.

When asked the question, he said: “Mourinho.”.Carragher was particularly surprised, responding with: “Wow.”

Henry continued: “Because I would have like him to upset me sometimes, he was like that. He wouldn’t be scared to take me off at half-time, trying to wind me up, because sometimes I needed that.”

Despite the fantastic CV he has built up across his career, it is unlikely that Mourinho makes a sensational return to Chelsea.

Reports have claimed that the owners are willing to continue to back Potter despite the poor form, with them believing time will be required to turn things around for the Blues.
