Several Chelsea teammates have sent supportive messages to Mason Mount, who recently underwent successful minor pelvic surgery.

Blues caretaker manager Frank Lampard has already confirmed the decision to let Mount undergo surgery after the midfielder sustained a pelvic injury, which significantly reduced his game time.

This, however, means the 24-year-old is unlikely to feature again for Chelsea this season since he will need at least four weeks of recovery period.

Mount announced the successful operation on Wednesday on social media.

“Had a minor procedure yesterday to sort out a discomfort I had for a while,” the England international wrote on Instagram.

“Everything went well and I’m feeling good.

“Time to rest but can’t wait to get back to training in the coming weeks!

“Thanks for all your messages of support and a massive thank you to the medical team, doctors and nurses for looking after me.”

A number of his Chelsea teammates and several other familiar faces have responded to the post.

Cucurella, on the other hand, had his say on Mount’s wearing a bucket hat on the hospital bed: “Always style!! Come back stronger, amigo!”

“Be back before you know it,” said Ben Chilwell.

Reece James wrote: “Soon back starboy.”

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba wrote: “Get well soon and come back stronger!”

Several former Chelsea teammates, including Fikayo Tomori and Billy Gilmour, also left messages in the comments.

There is a possibility Mount can recover in time for Chelsea’s last game of the season against Newcastle United.

However, amid the uncertainty over his contract situation at the club, he might also have played his last game in Chelsea colours.

Fortunately for Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino, who is the leading candidate to become their next manager, is said to really like Mount, and this may help convince the midfielder to sign a new deal.
