One Chelsea star could be willing to leave the Blues for a Champions League club this summer.

Chelsea continue to be active in the transfer window, recently confirming the signing of Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal.

As well as bringing in players, though, the Blues have also got rid of a few names. And there could be more departures before the market shuts.

Trevoh Chalobah is expected to leave Stamford Bridge after being left out of their pre-season tour. Chelsea want at least £30m for Chalobah.

Conor Gallagher is another player who could depart west London this summer amid interest from Atletico Madrid.

Conor Gallagher contemplating Atletico Madrid move

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Gallagher is on the top of Atletico’s list. Even so, it remains to be seen whether he will join them or not.

However, it does look like the midfielder is at least considering moving to Diego Simeone’s side.

The Times recently reported that Atletico have received “positive indications” from Gallagher about a switch to the Civitas Metropolitano.

The same outlet claims that Chelsea value Gallagher at £50m. Tottenham were confident about signing Gallagher, but Atletico appear to be the club who are at the front of the queue for his signature.

Conor Gallagher could help fund Victor Osimhen move

While Gallagher could be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen could be arriving.

Chelsea have discussed signing Osimhen on loan, but if Napoli only want to do a permanent deal, then the Blues are going to have to find a lot of money.

A Gallagher sale will obviously help them with that, especially if they can get something close to £50m.

However, while Atletico are a Champions League club and one of the top teams in Spain, that may be a bit too much for them. At one stage, it was claimed that Chelsea felt Atletico weren’t in a position to sign Gallagher.
