Chelsea want to offload both Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are not part of Chelsea‘s plans and are on huge wages. So, understandably, the club are keen to get rid of the pair.

Time is running out, though, so Chelsea need to find the two England internationals new teams quickly.

However, there is no guarantee that either will depart, though Sterling does appear to have suitors.

Ben Chilwell could remain at Chelsea

For Chilwell, an exit looks a bit more tricky, with the £50m left-back not attracting too much interest right now.

According to the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old is now actually likely to stay at Chelsea, which would not be a good development for him.

Chilwell is finally fully fit again and needs to play. But based on Enzo Maresca‘s words, he is not going to feature under him if he remains at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling could also stay at Chelsea, but like Chilwell, the 29-year-old also needs to go out and get minutes as he looks to get back into the England squad.

Who is more likely to stay at Chelsea out of Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling?

Again, Chilwell and Sterling are high earners at Chelsea, which is not making offloading them an easy task.

With the club interested in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, though, there could be room for a swap deal that would see Sterling head to Old Trafford.

Sancho wants to sign for Chelsea as well, so the Blues may very well be able to send Sterling to Erik ten Hag’s team before Friday’s deadline.

Bearing that in mind, Sterling is probably a more likely departure than Chilwell, who is now at serious risk of remaining at Chelsea and not playing any football under Maresca. It is not what he will want after missing so many games last season because of injury, but it is now a possibility.
