Despite the form of Nicolas Jackson this season, Chelsea continue to be linked with other strikers.
There has been Chelsea talk about Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres and Lille’s Jonathan David, for example.
However, Bayern Munich are also interested in David, so Chelsea could have some fierce competition for the 24-year-old’s signature. And the same goes for Gyokeres, who has done another excellent job this season.
In 18 appearances for Sporting, the 26-year-old has scored 23 goals, including a hat-trick against Manchester City.

Randal Kolo Muani’s PSG future
Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani is another centre-forward who has been linked to Stamford Bridge.
In fact, it has been claimed that Chelsea have already been told that they can sign Kolo Muani. However, the 25-year-old does not look too keen to leave the Parc des Princes.
According to the player himself, he has not thought about leaving PSG in January.
“No, I’ve never thought about leaving PSG in January,” Kolo Muani told Telefoot. “I have to work more and make my mark when he [Luis Enrique] calls on me. I think that will do it.”
Randal Kolo Muani’s stats this season
While Kolo Muani may want to stay at PSG and win over Enrique, a move away from Paris may be in his best interest.
The Frenchman is not a starter for PSG right now, making just two starts in Ligue 1 this season.

That is disappointing, especially for a player who cost £76.4m. As for Chelsea, again, they have Jackson.
The 23-year-old has led the line well for Enzo Maresca’s side this term, coming up with nine goal contributions in 11 league appearances.
However, the Blues will need cover for him if Christopher Nkunku leaves the club in the new year. His future looks to be in doubt after failing to break into Maresca‘s starting XI.
With Kolo Muani determined to prove himself at PSG, though, it does not look like the France international will come in to replace his compatriot if he decides to leave Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
