Chelsea could have the opportunity to sign a striker from one of Europe’s elite clubs in January.
Enzo Maresca is likely to be satisfied with his centre-forward options at the moment. Nicolas Jackson has scored four goals in the Premier League this season, while Christopher Nkunku has seven in all competitions.
However, Chelsea‘s pursuit of Victor Osimhen in the last transfer window means you cannot rule out the club signing another striker in the new year.
In fact, it has been claimed that Chelsea could still sign Osimhen at some stage in 2025.

PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani offered to Chelsea
If Chelsea do want to bring in a new No.9 in the January transfer window and cannot sign Osimhen, it looks like Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani could be another option for them.
According to TBR, intermediaries have offered Kolo Muani to Chelsea and several other Premier League clubs.
The same outlet reports that Luis Enrique is happy for the 25-year-old to go, though he could still end up costing a lot of money.
PSG paid £76.4m in total to bring Kolo Muani to the Parc des Princes. They will not want to make a heavy loss on the Frenchman, so Chelsea may have to pay a big fee to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Should Chelsea sign Randal Kolo Muani in January?
Kolo Muani did pretty well in his final full season at Eintracht Frankfurt. In 32 Bundesliga appearances, the France international scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists.
However, at PSG, he has failed to establish himself. Kolo Muani only made 26 Ligue 1 appearances last term, managing to score just six goals along the way.
Ultimately, if you are Chelsea, you have to ask if Kolo Muani would be an upgrade on either Jackson or Nkunku. His time at PSG so far would suggest no, so it makes little sense to bring him in.
Viktor Gyokeres is another striker who will be available next year. His goal record suggests that he could be an upgrade on Jackson and Nkunku, unlike Kolo Muani.
