Chelsea are now more focused on signing Elye Wahi from Montpellier instead of Dusan Vlahovic as PSG agree terms with the Juventus striker.
That is according to Rudy Galetti on Give Me Sport.
So, what is the situation involving Elye Wahi and Dusan Vlahovic at Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – according to Gazzetta dello Sport – Chelsea are serious, or were serious, about signing the Serbia international, and hold talks with Juventus Director Cristiano Giuntoli on a regular basis.
Now – however – it sounds as if the Blues have gone cold on Vlahovic, as those at Stamford Bridge turn their attention to Wahi after PSG agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old Serbian.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are close to finding an agreement with Montpellier over a deal for the France Under-21 international, with a new round of talks scheduled next week.
That update came after Tutto Mercato Web stated that Chelsea had made a £35m bid for Wahi.

Vlahovic scored 14 goals in 42 appearances last season as Juventus finished seventh in Serie A.
Wahi enjoyed a much better campaign, netting 19 goals in Ligue 1 to finish among the top scorers in France, ahead of both Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Wahi is the less risky option for Chelsea compared to Vlahovic
In our view, Wahi poses a less riskier move for Chelsea, given the fact he is much cheaper than Vlahovic, and also three years younger.
Montpellier seem open to accepting that £35m bid, whereas Juventus are said to want at least £51m for their No.9 this summer after spending £66.6m on his services as recently as January 2022.

Of course, Vlahovic has more experience than Wahi, although the young Frenchman is already outscoring the Serbian in a major European league, and seems to have a higher ceiling in football.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea close in on the Montpellier No.21’s signature.
