PSG have now submitted a bid for Chelsea target Victor Osimhen after beating Mauricio Pochettino to the signing of Manuel Ugarte.
That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
So, what is the latest on Victor Osimhen? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Napoli No.9 is a target for Chelsea this summer – the Blues even made a phone call about the Nigerian recently, according to Sky Sports Journalist Massimo Marianella.
Now – however – PSG have made the first concrete move for the striker who Mario Balotelli called “incredible”.
Gazzetta dello Sport believe the French giants offered €100m (£86m) for Osimhen, although it was swiftly rejected as Napoli countered with a request of €200m (£172m).
The Italian news outlet believe PSG’s offer is likely to spark a bidding war with those in England now ready to make proposals of their own, although Chelsea are not specifically mentioned.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri recently claimed that Chelsea are planning to hold a meeting with Osimhen’s representatives, so perhaps the Blues are waiting for those talks before making an offer of their own.
Interest in the 24-year-old comes after he scored 31 goals in all competitions throughout the 2022/23 campaign, cementing himself as one of the best strikers on the planet.
Chelsea must be tired of PSG after Osimhen bid
If PSG end up beating Chelsea to Osimhen’s signature, those at Stamford Bridge will surely be fed up with the Parisians.
PSG have already spoiled one deal for Chelsea this summer, pipping the Blues to the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Sporting CP.

Now – if they pinch Osimhen as well – it would be a real setback for Chelsea, although there are alternative options out there, such as Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus and Inter Milan No.10 Lautaro Martinez.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea could soon bid for Osimhen.
