There’s a lot of working going on behind the scenes right now trying to help one player secure a move to Chelsea in this summer transfer window.
Chelsea supporters have become very used to seeing announcement videos in the past month confirming new signing after new signing.
The Blues completed the signature of Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers a few days ago. Remarkably, there’s still rumours in the transfer market linking Enzo Maresca’s side with possibly making more additions.

Work is going on to make Joao Felix to Chelsea happen
We spoke to transfer expert Graeme Bailey on Wednesday regarding the situation of Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix and his transfer links with Chelsea.
He’s explained that there’s some belief the 24-year-old Atletico attacker will end up returning to Stamford Bridge, especially because football agent Jorge Mendes is working extremely hard on a deal.
Bailey has told The Chelsea Chronicle: “I think there is a belief that Felix to Chelsea might get done. Jorge Mendes is working very hard on that deal. There is a belief that will happen.”
This comes after O Jogo recently claimed that Chelsea have made a first offer to buy Felix. So, will the Portuguese forward end up back with the Blues after previously having a loan spell in West London in 2023?
Do Chelsea need Joao Felix?
In truth, the squad is looking pretty stacked in the forward positions. Felix did win over plenty of the Blues fanbase with an eventful short-term loan in the past, though.
He could provide even more competition and quality across the frontline with his versatility to play several attacking positions. But if he does end up signing, we’d really be looking for some transfer exits to go the other way to trim the massive squad.
Speaking via Birmingham Mail back in March 2023, Aston Villa boss Unai Emery described Felix as a “special” player.
Let’s wait and see if Chelsea get this latest deal over the line…
