Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has said he has received “official offers” from two top clubs for his client.
The 28-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge last season and has been a player who has split opinion.
Having witnessed N’Golo Kante’s ability to win possession and Cesc Fabregas’ insane through passes, Jorginho’s simple 5-yard passes in controlling the midfield are considered lacklustre.
Though, the Italy international has still been Chelsea’s first-choice for the holding midfield role this season despite the managerial change.
There have been rumours circulating that Maurizio Sarri would want his midfield conductor back which has been denied by Jorginho’s agent.
However, Santos said there have been a couple of top clubs who reached out to him regarding possible summer move for his client.
He told 90min: “I have received official offers from two top clubs.
“I cannot say who, out of respect for Chelsea, because we are not allowed to negotiate at the moment. And, as I said before, there is a will to stay [at Chelsea]. But it is normal for a player of his calibre to be of interest to other clubs.
“The only thing I can say is that they are two of the top eight clubs in Europe. Because we are not talking about just any player, only the most important clubs in Europe can afford [Jorginho].”
Jorginho still has three years in his contract with Chelsea and in an interview with Calciomercato, Santos also mentioned a possibility of a new contract with Chelsea this summer.
