Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona’s Jules Kounde, and their fans have given the same response to the speculation.
Fresh transfer rumours this week linked Chelsea with a potential move for Barcelona defender Jules Kounde.
It was reported that Chelsea will prioritise signing Kounde in the upcoming summer transfer window. Apparently, the Blues could ‘big bid’ for the 26-year-old star after deciding he’s a bigger priority than Bournemouth centre-half Dean Huijsen.

Barcelona fans insist Jules Kounde isn’t for sale amid Chelsea links
A selection of Barcelona supporters on social media are saying the same thing in response to Chelsea’s interest in Kounde. Without a doubt, they don’t want to lose the versatile French defender this summer.
One fan said: “They think he’d downgrade from playing with Lamine Yamal and Pedri to playing with Noni Madueke and Romeo Lavia.”
“Are they mad? If Barca sells him I’m done with the club,” another posted.
One fan wrote: “Even if they make a €200M offer we won’t be selling our best player.”
“In their dreams,” another claimed.
“Do they know how small they are relative to the club Kounde plays for? Why do they think he rejected them for us?” another said.
It was claimed last year that Kounde could cost around £50m, but there’s been no suggestion of how much Barcelona would demand for him this season.
He’s been a key player at the Camp Nou this campaign for an impressive team hunting silverware, so it’s no real surprise that fans don’t want to lose him. As it stands, his current deal is due to expire in 2027.

Jules Kounde enjoying superb season
Even though Kounde has enjoyed large spells of his career at centre-back, he’s been playing as Barcelona’s star right-back this season. The France international has impressed for the Spanish league leaders, too.
| Appearances | Goals | Assists | Pass accuracy | Tackles won % | Dribbled past | Yellow cards | Red cards | Average rating |
| 28 | 2 | 3 | 88.6% | 67.9% | 16 | 3 | 0 | 7.27 |
Kounde ticks a lot of boxes as both a defensive and offensive option in the Barcelona XI.
For what Chelsea need, we’d prefer to see him at centre-back if he ended up at Stamford Bridge. He’s quick, strong and aggressive with his work off the ball.
