Chelsea and Bayern Munich are both hoping to strengthen their attack in the summer transfer window.
It is thought that Chelsea want to sign a versatile attacker, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers being heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are also rumoured to be interested in another English forward, but it looks like he could be heading to Bayern.
How would you react to Chelsea signing Marcus Rashford?
Bayern Munich think they can sign Marcus Rashford ahead of Chelsea
Earlier this week, it was claimed that Chelsea have discussed signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United on loan.
However, according to TEAMtalk, Bayern are growing “increasingly confident” of landing the 28-year-old.
The same outlet states that Barcelona had the option to sign Rashford permanently for €30m (£25.8m) following his successful loan spell at the Camp Nou, but the Catalan club opted not to.

Rashford scored 14 goals in 49 appearances under Hansi Flick last season. He had a very productive campaign and helped Barcelona to win the La Liga title.
They have purchased his England teammate Anthony Gordon instead, though, giving Bayern and Chelsea an opportunity to sign him this summer.

Marcus Rashford’s record vs Chelsea
The good news for Chelsea is that it looks like they will not have to face Rashford next season. If the United player joins them or Vincent Kompany’s side, that will not be a concern as it has been in the past.
Rashford has punished Chelsea before, scoring six goals in 22 outings, including a spectacular free-kick in a Carabao Cup tie back in the 2019/20 season.
Given that Rashford is a versatile forward who is capable of finding the back of the net, he could be the perfect addition to Xabi Alonso’s squad.
But it appears that Chelsea are going to have to see off competition from Bayern in order to secure his signature, and that is not going to be easy. All in all, a move to the Allianz Arena seems more likely.
