Romelu Lukaku is now putting pressure on Chelsea to let him leave as Inter Milan plan to make a new offer for the striker.

What’s the story?
Well, Chelsea fans are probably tired of hearing about the 30-year-old now.
Lukaku – who Shane Duffy called “brilliant” in the Daily Express – is desperate to leave Stamford Bridge for another spell at Inter Milan.
However, the Italian giants have failed to make an acceptable offer for the Belgian so far this summer, with Chelsea insistent that they will not agree to any more loan deals.
Now – according to Gazzetta dello Sport – Lukaku is trying to force the issue himself, as he pushes the Blues to let him go back to the San Siro.
A new round of talks are set to take place between Chelsea and Inter Milan this week, with the Italian news outlet adding that the UEFA Champions League finalists will offer the Blues €30m (£26m) for the Belgium international.
However, Inter Milan want another loan deal for the 2023/24 campaign, with that £26m sum coming as part of an obligation to buy Lukaku in the summer of 2024.
Inter Milan’s Lukaku offer is an insult to Chelsea
If we were on the recruitment team at Stamford Bridge, Inter Milan’s handling of this deal would be starting to annoy us.
Chelsea – according to the Mirror – have already placed a £34m price tag on Lukaku, which is a very generous sum anyway given the fact he cost £97.5m back in August 2021.
Inter Milan need to meet that asking price with their next bid, or Chelsea should simply walk away from the negotiating table.
Another loan deal – even with the obligation to buy included – is unlikely to please Chelsea either, as the Evening Standard believe the Blues only want to use those spots for young talents rather than senior players.
