While the transfer window in England may be closed, Chelsea still have the opportunity to sell unwanted players abroad.
When the transfer window was open in England, Chelsea were able to offload the likes of Raheem Sterling, Trevoh Chalobah and Kepa Arrizabalaga to other Premier League clubs.
However, they could not get rid of everyone, with David Datro Fofana and Ben Chilwell still at Chelsea, for example.
With clubs in Greece still able to do business, though, the Blues may be able to sell at least one of those two players. Enzo Maresca warned the latter that he would not get minutes if he remained at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea could sell David Datro Fofana to AEK Athens
Like Chilwell, Fofana is also not part of Maresca’s senior squad. As a result, he could join AEK Athens, with the transfer window in Greece not closing until Wednesday.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea are in talks with AEK Athens over the sale of the forward and are hoping that something can be sorted.
Last week, it was reported that Chelsea had rejected AEK Athens’ loan offer for Fofana. However, it looks like a move to Greece is still possible for the 21-year-old.
Fofana spent last season out on loan at both Union Berlin and Burnley, impressing Vincent Kompany during his short spell at Turf Moor.
“He’s very fast,” the new Bayern Munich manager told Burnley’s official website and the media after one game.
David Datro Fofana should join AEK Athens
The Greek league is obviously not the best football division in the world. Fofana would probably prefer to play in another European country.
However, the Ivorian is out of options right now and the alternative is remaining at Chelsea and not playing at all.
Considering that, Fofana should give serious consideration to joining AEK Athens. If the Ivory Coast international does and performs there, then it may not take long for another European club to come in for him and take the Chelsea outcast to a stronger division.
