With the transfer window now open, Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to sign one defender.
Central defence is an area that Chelsea may decide to strengthen this month due to injuries and potential exits.
Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile are both currently on the sidelines, while Axel Disasi has been linked with a move away from the club.
It has already been claimed that Chelsea’s London rivals West Ham United are interested in signing Disasi.

Chelsea not prioritising AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori
AC Milan star Fikayo Tomori is a player whom Chelsea know very well, having once had him on their books.
However, it does not look like the Blues are currently interested in signing the centre-back.
According to Sky Sport CH, while Tomori has been offered to Chelsea, he is not a priority for them. The same outlet has also claimed, though, that things could change if Disasi departs Stamford Bridge this month.
Milan signed Tomori from Chelsea permanently back in 2021. Tomori admitted he found it difficult not playing at his former club before his move to Italy.
Joe Cole a fan of Fikayo Tomori
One person who would probably like to see Tomori return to west London is former Chelsea player Joe Cole.
While Cole described Tomori’s move to Milan as a “gamble”, he thinks the 27-year-old has been excellent there.
When speaking about Tomori on BT Sport (now TNT Sports) in 2022, the Chelsea legend said: “He’s an outstanding young player and young man.
“He has taken a massive gamble going there, there’s no better place to learn your trade. That club is steeped in it, [Franco] Baresi, [Alessandro] Costacurta, [Cesare and Paolo] Maldini, their ghosts are going to echo through that club and there will be people at the club from that era and there will be pearls of wisdom he has picked up.
“The Italians are the masters of defending. He has gone there and been outstanding.”
If Chelsea are looking to sign a new centre-half in this transfer window, then they could do a lot worse than Tomori.
The England international has gained a lot of experience at Milan and has some great attributes, such as his pace.
If Tomori really has been offered to Enzo Maresca‘s side, then re-signing him is something that the Chelsea board really need to think about. And with all of Fofana’s injury problems, he is likely to be an addition that would be welcomed.
