Chelsea are receiving transfer interest this month for one of their senior players in the dressing room.

It feels like the January transfer window has now properly sparked into life after Chelsea officially recalled defender Trevoh Chalobah from his season-long loan at Crystal Palace earlier this week. Incidentally, Chelsea are still expected to sell Chalobah in the summer.

It’ll be interesting to see the make up of the Blues squad by the time the mid-season window shuts on 3 February.

Brighton keen on signing Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo

According to The Daily Mail, Premier League side Brighton have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

It is explained that Brighton are want to buy the 27-year-old Englishman on a permanent deal, even though he only moved to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer last summer.

The report adds that it remains to be seen whether Chelsea officials will cash in on the centre-back after receiving contact from the Seagulls.

In his debut season with the Blues, Tosin has quickly made himself an important player within the squad. He’s scored three goals in 18 appearances across all competitions so far this campaign.

Head coach Enzo Maresca is working with an extremely young group of players right now, but Tosin is one of the older and more experienced individuals. In fact, Maresca called Tosin “one of the leaders” at Chelsea” earlier in the season.

Should Chelsea sell Tosin?

Chelsea beat eight clubs to sign Tosin last summer, but is it already time to consider selling him?

Without a doubt, Tosin’s been a really strong addition to the Blues. The central defender is consistent whenever he steps into the starting line-up, plus his mentoring and leadership have been mentioned by various people.

However, if Brighton do submit a sizeable transfer fee this month, it’s only natural if Chelsea consider it because there may be a chance for a quick profit.

We’d warn Chelsea and Maresca to ensure that they don’t leave themselves too thin on the ground in the second half of the season, as there’s still lots of fixtures to play with domestic and European competitions.
