Liverpool and Chelsea could find themselves going toe-to-toe for one Premier League star’s signature next year.
It would not be the first time after the two English giants tussled over Moises Caicedo, with Chelsea coming out on top.
The Blues will be glad that they won that transfer battle, as Caicedo has been exceptional for them this season. Caicedo is one of the first names on the team sheet at Chelsea right now, according to John Obi Mikel.
Chelsea also beat Liverpool to the signing of Romeo Lavia last summer, so they could be about to make it a hat-trick.

Liverpool interested in Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi
Last month, it was reported that Chelsea are ready to re-sign Marc Guehi after selling him to Crystal Palace in 2021.
However, it looks like the Blues could face competition from Arne Slot and Liverpool.
According to GiveMeSport, Liverpool could make Guehi a key target in a bid to strengthen their defence.
He will not come cheap, though, with the same outlet claiming that Palace value their central defender at around £70m.
Chelsea can make it a hat-trick
After beating Liverpool to both Caicedo and Lavia’s signatures, there is no reason why Chelsea cannot do the same thing with Guehi.
Coming through Chelsea’s academy, Guehi may feel that he has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge.
A move there would also see the 24-year-old remain in London, while he would also get to be part of an exciting project involving so many young and talented players.
The only problem right now is that there is probably not any space in Enzo Maresca‘s squad for another centre-half.
But if Chelsea sell Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile in the new year, for example, then that could make room for Guehi.
The chance to play alongside Virgil van Dijk and eventually replace him will be tempting, though, so do not rule Liverpool out.
