Chelsea have now told Borussia Dortmund what they need to do if they want to sign Carney Chukwuemeka.
Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Carney Chukwuemeka became apparent earlier in the transfer window, but at one point it looked like they would not be signing him.
After the sacking of Nuri Sahin, it was claimed that Dortmund were no longer considering Chukwuemeka.
However, that appears to have changed and the German club are now trying to sign the midfielder again.

Chelsea only want to send Carney Chukwuemeka out on a dry loan
With Chukwuemeka back on Dortmund’s radar again, journalist Patrick Berger claimed on Saturday that the Bundesliga outfit had launched a loan offer with a €30m (£25m) option to buy for the 21-year-old.
It looks like that offer will be unsuccessful, though. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea “will not accept” an option to buy in the loan and only want Chukwuemeka to depart temporarily.
The club have made a drastic U-turn, with the England youth international having been available for a permanent transfer last month.
It was said that Chelsea were looking for around £45m for Chukwuemeka‘s signature.

Chelsea have messed about with Carney Chukwuemeka during the transfer window
Chelsea’s handling of Chukwuemeka has been extremely poor. It was clear from day one that he was not going to be part of Enzo Maresca‘s plans.
It is February now, and the former Aston Villa academy player has not played a single minute of football in the Premier League.
A loan move or permanent transfer should have been sorted for Chukwuemeka ages ago. They have really messed about with him with their changes of position.
For those who believe and appreciate Chukwuemeka’s talent, they will now be hoping that he can secure some sort of move to Dortmund. There, he should be able to get game time and the chance to develop, which has not happened at Chelsea.
All in all, Chukwuemeka leaving Chelsea in some capacity seems likely, even with the transfer window about to close. But his exit should have happened much sooner.
