Chelsea have registered an interest in multiple attackers this month, and one of their targets looks to be fully done with his current club.

Chelsea have the likes of Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel on their radar as they look to sign a new left winger.

Their interest in the duo comes amid Mykhailo Mudryk’s suspension. The Blues have no clue when the 24-year-old will be back.

After deciding to leave Bayern, Tel has once again become an option for Chelsea, with an exit now very likely for the Frenchman.

Mathys Tel expected to leave Bayern Munich

There is no guarantee that Chelsea will sign Tel before the transfer window closes, with the 19-year-old thought to be attracting interest from other clubs.

Nevertheless, it does look like Tel will depart Bayern for a new adventure this week or next Monday.

According to Tz, Tel still being at the Allianz Arena after the winter is “almost impossible”. The outlet claims that it would take a “miracle” for that to happen.

Chelsea co-sporting director Laurence Stewart is a huge fan of Tel, explaining the Blues’ interest in him.

Arsenal join race to sign Mathys Tel

If Chelsea want to sign Tel ahead of the market’s closure next week, then they may have to see off competition from Mikel Arteta and Arsenal.

Tz’s report states that the Gunners are also interested in him, meaning that a real transfer battle could be about to ensue.

Manchester United are thought to be in the picture for Tel‘s signature as well, so the France U20 international has very good options.

Right now, United do not look like one, with Ruben Amorim’s side currently 12th in the Premier League table. However, they are still one of the biggest clubs in England.

You would not make them favourites for Tel’s signature, though the amount of attacking options that Chelsea already have could make it hard for them to convince the Bayern star to join them.
