Chelsea have now been offered Juventus ace who’s ‘among the best in the world’

Chelsea have reportedly been presented with the opportunity to sign one of Juventus’ top players this month.

Chelsea are likely to be active in the January transfer window, with Enzo Maresca having to contend with injuries and potential exits.

Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile are currently unavailable for selection, while Christopher Nkunku could leave the club.

It has been claimed that Bayern Munich have identified Nkunku as a target as they look to strengthen their forward line.

Dusan Vlahovic has been offered to Chelsea

If Nkunku does go on to depart Stamford Bridge this month, then Chelsea will probably need to sign a new forward.

One option for them could be Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, who appears to be available in this transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk, Vlahovic has been offered to Chelsea and two other Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal have also been linked with Vlahovic, so there could potentially be a scrap for his signature this month.

One player at Juventus who would be sad to see Vlahovic go is Timothy Weah.

Weah believes that his teammate is “among the best in the world” and would not trade him for Victor Osimhen, another forward who has been linked to Chelsea.

“He is among the best in the world,” Weah was quoted as saying by Goal. “I see him and [Federico] Chiesa extremely determined to drag us to victory. He is a huge striker, because he scores a lot and knows how to do everything else well.

“I really enjoy interacting with him on the pitch. I would never trade him for Osimhen: they are two extraordinary players, but Dusan is perfect for this team.”

Vlahovic has scored fewer league goals than Nicolas Jackson this season, though the latter has played more minutes. Chelsea fans may not view the Serbian as an upgrade on the team’s current first-choice striker.

But again, if Nkunku does end up joining Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain or another club before the transfer window closes, then Chelsea may need to bring in another forward like Vlahovic.

In November, it was reported that contact had been made between PSG and Nkunku’s entourage. Failing to displace Jackson in the current campaign, an exit in this transfer window or the next one looks like a real possibility.
