Whether PSG have actually made contact to sign Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea

Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku may be forced to look for a new club in 2025.

Under Enzo Maresca, Christopher Nkunku has struggled for game time, with the 27-year-old making just one start in the Premier League so far this season.

Despite Nkunku being Chelsea‘s second-choice striker behind Nicolas Jackson, he is still the team’s top scorer with 11 goals.

However, most of those goals have come in the Conference League. With most of his minutes coming in that competition, it has been claimed that Nkunku is not happy at Chelsea right now.

Could Christopher Nkunku return to PSG?

Last month, Nkunku claimed that PSG had not made an approach for him, though he did admit that they are a big club.

Since then, a report from Sky Sport has emerged stating that PSG have now contacted Nkunku’s entourage about a summer move.

Nkunku played for the Ligue 1 champions from 2015–2019 before joining Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

His impressive form in Germany saw Chelsea sign him in a £52m deal. Injuries, though, prevented him from making much of an impact during his debut season at the club.

How does Christopher Nkunku feel about potential PSG return?

It looks like Nkunku would be open to returning to the Parc des Princes as he continues to be overlooked by Maresca.

According to Sky Sport, the Frenchman is attracted by the prospect of re-signing for his former club.

From his perspective, it could make a lot of sense. PSG are one of the biggest clubs in the world, while the France international is just not getting game time at Stamford Bridge right now.

And with the form that Jackson is currently in, that is unlikely to change. The 23-year-old scored once again last weekend, netting in his side’s 2-1 win against Leicester City.

Because of Jackson and Cole Palmer, who is playing in Nkunku’s preferred role presently, the former Leipzig star may not have a future in west London.
