Chelsea are currently the frontrunners to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds – although Tottenham are keeping a close eye on the situation.
That is according to 90min.
So, what is the latest on Chelsea target Tyler Adams? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – according to the Telegraph – Chelsea are in pole position to sign the Leeds No.12 this summer as Mauricio Pochettino aims to beef up his midfield.
The Daily Mail add that the United States international wants to join Chelsea.
Now – however – 90min believe other Premier League sides are plotting a potential hijack.

It is said that Tottenham – along with Liverpool, Manchester United, Brighton and Brentford – are all keeping tabs on the situation, with Adams available for just £25m due to a release clause in his contract at Elland Road.
The American is being targeted by Chelsea in addition to Moises Caicedo rather than as an alternative, and 90min add that the Blues feel he will slot in well at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham not in a strong position to sign Tyler Adams over Chelsea
In our view, we see no reason why Adams would choose to ignore Chelsea for Tottenham.
Neither side are competing in the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League next season – nor the UEFA Conference League – so Chelsea’s failure to qualify for Europe should not affect them in this transfer saga.
Chelsea also have fewer midfielders than Tottenham, so Adams is more likely to play regularly under Pochettino than he would be under Ange Postecoglou, who can choose from Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, Yves Bissouma, Tanguy Ndombele or Giovani Lo Celso in his midfield.

After losing Ruben Loftus-Cheek, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic, Pochettino does not have as many options as Spurs do.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea look set to ramp up their pursuit of Adams soon.
