Chelsea have made a bright start to this season, but it looks like the Blues still want to strengthen their squad in the new year.
Chelsea already reportedly have their top target for 2025. They brought in a lot of attackers in the last transfer window; however, another could be on his way.
Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto all joined Enzo Maresca‘s side during the summer. The last of that trio started for Chelsea over the weekend and managed to make an impact.
Neto set up Nicolas Jackson’s opener after getting on the end of Cole Palmer’s excellent pass. That ball, his goal and overall performance have seen Palmer included in Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week.

Chelsea could battle PSG for Karim Adeyemi’s signature
During the summer, it was claimed that Chelsea had Karim Adeyemi on their radar. Fast forward to now, and it looks like they still have an interest in him.
According to Jeunes Footeux, the Borussia Dortmund star is actually Chelsea’s “top priority”, though they could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.
Adeyemi has been in fantastic form for Dortmund this season. In five Bundesliga appearances, he has scored two goals and provided three assists.
The German has also shone in the Champions League, scoring a hat-trick against Celtic.
Karim Adeyemi should not be Chelsea’s top priority
Adeyemi is in form right now and may not cost Chelsea too much. According to the Daily Mail, Dortmund wanted £35m for their attacker in the previous transfer window.
However, Chelsea are fine in the wide positions at the moment, with Sancho, Neto, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk giving the Blues depth in that area.
Adeyemi can also play up front, but Maresca has Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, who have both scored goals this season. If Chelsea plan to strengthen in that department, then they are probably going to sign a natural No.9 who is a clear upgrade on what they already have.
