Chelsea have missed out on one Premier League forward who they have recently been linked with.
Chelsea could have no choice but to dip into the transfer market for a new striker this month.
The goals are starting to dry up for Nicolas Jackson, while Christopher Nkunku continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, though, Nkunku will have to tell Chelsea he wants out if he is desperate to leave in January.

Matheus Cunha agrees new Wolves deal despite Chelsea interest
At one stage, it looked like Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Cunha could have come in to replace Nkunku.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Chelsea were interested in signing Cunha from their Premier League rivals.
However, that is not going to happen this month, with it now widely circulating that the 25-year-old has agreed a new deal with Wolves.
That is good news for Vitor Pereira, with Cunha being one of his star players. Since joining Wolves in 2023, the Brazilian has scored 24 goals in the Premier League.

Matheus Cunha development good news for Nicolas Jackson
Jackson will also be happy to hear that Cunha is about to sign a new deal at Molineux.
It is one forward that he will not have to worry about taking his spot in Enzo Maresca‘s team, while the two players did not exactly get along when Chelsea and Wolves met earlier in the season.
Jackson and Cunha clashed in a fiery encounter between the two sides, with The Sun highlighting their bust-up.
Chelsea look like they could do with another forward, though. Again, Jackson’s finishing has not been as good as it was at the start of the campaign.
In his last six outings in the Premier League, the Senegal international has scored just one goal. It came in Chelsea’s last victory, showing that they are struggling amid this patch where their main No.9 is not finding the back of the net. It is why the addition of someone like Cunha could have been good for them.
