Chelsea could have to go toe-to-toe with Premier League rivals Liverpool to sign one forward.
Chelsea look desperate to strengthen their attack as they continue to be linked with different strikers and wingers.
One No.9 who is currently being linked to Stamford Bridge is Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran. However, Chelsea face competition from PSG for Duran’s signature.
Out wide, Chelsea are thought to be interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi, who is also capable of playing up front.

Liverpool interested in Chelsea target Karim Adeyemi
Earlier this month, it was reported that Chelsea are in talks to sign Adeyemi from Dortmund.
Napoli are also keen on Adeyemi, but they are not the only club whom Chelsea may need to beat to get to the player’s signature.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool are watching Adeyemi as they weigh up making a summer move for him.
Of course, with Napoli trying to sign the 23-year-old now, he may not be available then.

Janusz Gora compares Karim Adeyemi to Lionel Messi
One person who knows Adeyemi well is former Poland international Janusz Gora.
At Liefering, Adeyemi immediately caught Gora’s eye, and the retired defender has gone as far as to compare the German to Lionel Messi.
In an interview with The Athletic in 2021, Gora: “You know who he reminds me of, in his movements? Lionel Messi. The way he glides inside from the right onto his strong left foot with quick little turns.
“You could immediately see that he was special, an incredible talent, fast, good technique, explosive on the ball. Even though he played against grown men with Liefering, he was the sort of player who decided games, with a goal or an assist. As a coach, you knew there was something about this kid.”
Adeyemi, though, is nowhere near as prolific as Messi. Hardly anyone is, but a prolific attacker is probably what Chelsea could do with right now.
Enzo Maresca is not getting enough goals from his forward line, with Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke being the only ones who are scoring presently.
Adeyemi has scored two league goals so far this season and netted three last term. In terms of scoring goals, it hardly screams Messi.
Adeyemi has his strengths, such as his pace, but ultimately it is hard to see how he makes this Chelsea team any better. If the Germany international does go on to join Liverpool, Chelsea should not lose too much sleep over it.
