One Chelsea signing from the summer transfer window could already be on the move.

When the transfer market was open, Chelsea were extremely busy, bringing in players for now and the future.

The likes of Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto were signed to help Enzo Maresca‘s team out today.

Players such as Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu were brought in with the future in mind, though the latter has been part of the first-team squad this season. Chelsea could now loan Guiu out, while Kellyman could also leave the club in January.

Chelsea’s plans for Omari Kellyman

Chelsea signed Kellyman from Aston Villa for £19m in the summer, but the attacking midfielder is yet to make his first-team debut.

That may not happen until next year, with Chelsea reportedly open to loaning him to another club.

According to football.london, Chelsea will try to find a loan move for Kellyman in the January transfer window.

It has been claimed that Villa never wanted to sell Kellyman to Chelsea, but in the end it proved to be a good deal for them as they aimed to stay compliant with PSR.

Omari Kellyman needs loan move

With Cole Palmer and Felix in the first team, there will not be many opportunities for Kellyman once he returns from injury.

Chelsea could let him continue playing for the U21s, but costing the club almost £20m, they will feel that he is ready for senior football.

This season, Kellyman is not going to get that at Chelsea, so a loan in January makes a lot of sense.

Wherever he is in January, Chelsea will be expecting his development to continue in an upward trajectory because of his talent and character.

“Since he joined us he has shown an exemplary attitude and approach to his work,” Villa academy manager Mark Harrison told Villa’s official website last year after Kellyman signed a new contract.

If his loan move goes well, then maybe Chelsea supporters will get to see him make his debut at Stamford Bridge next season.
