Chelsea have reportedly offered their Premier League rivals the chance to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or his first-team teammate.
Even though the Chelsea squad does look quite strong right now, there are one or two cracks of potential weakness. In particular, the central midfield position looks a bit thin on the ground, especially because Romeo Lavia could be out injured until mid-March.
Therefore, it’s surprising to hear speculation around Blues midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall possibly leaving.
Speaking earlier in January, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said he wants to keep Dewsbury-Hall. He was handed his first Premier League start of the season in Monday night’s home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, too.
However, Dewsbury-Hall is one of the Chelsea stars linked with a potential exit in this transfer window.

Chelsea offer Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or Carney Chukwuemeka to Everton
According to The Daily Mirror, Everton are keen to cut short the season-long loan of Armando Broja with them and send him back to Chelsea because he’s out with an ankle problem until April.
The report says that Chelsea have responded by offering Everton the chance to sign Dewsbury-Hall or Carney Chukwuemeka if they are to recall Broja.
As mentioned above, Dewsbury-Hall is an important player to the Blues because of their current injury woes. It seems remarkable that they’ll allow the 26-year-old midfielder to leave midway through the season.
We think that the Englishman would be a superb addition for Everton if they take up the offer.
Meanwhile, Chukwuemeka has had a torrid time with several injuries since he joined Chelsea for £20m (Sky Sports) in 2022. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder hasn’t had much of a look-in this season under Maresca, so his exit would make much more sense. Everton manager David Moyes is a fan of Chukwuemeka, too.

Why Carney Chukwuemeka could be a great fit for Everton
There’s no doubt that Everton possess some real power in the centre of the park with strong midfielders such as Idrissa Gueye, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Orel Mangala.
The Merseyside club definitely lack a bit of extra creativity and flair in the middle, though. It’s one of the reasons why they’ve only scored 18 goals in 21 Premier League games so far this season.
Chukwuemeka is the sort of exciting and talented attacking midfielder that could be a really smart addition to the Everton ranks.
The English playmaker hasn’t had the platform to show what he’s about this campaign, but we’re confident his talent and potential would shine through at a club lower down in the Premier League. If it means getting rid of Broja to bring on Chukwuemeka, Everton should really think about that offer.
