Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Paulo Dybala and they have not ruled out making a bid.

The Roma forward has a release clause worth £10.5 million to overseas clubs, meaning that he could be available for a bargain price this summer.

And Dybala’s agents have now made Chelsea aware of the potential to purchase him, according to a report by 90Mins.

While Chelsea are yet to push on with the interest, it is intriguingly suggested that the possibility of the Argentine moving to Stamford Bridge has not been ruled out.

Mauricio Pochettino, who looks set to become Chelsea’s next manager, is known to be a big fan of Dybala.

He once called the 29-year-old a ‘special’ talent and one of the best players in the world, and there were rumours that he came close to signing him while Tottenham Hotspur manager

However, there surely now must be question marks over whether Dybala is the right fit for Chelsea now.

While his price certainly makes him appealing and he does possess a great deal of quality, he isn’t the natural goalscorer who Chelsea are looking for up-front.

Dybala is more in the mould of a Kai Havertz or a Joao Felix – someone who can lay on chances for others but doesn’t always want to be on the end of them.

His arrival, therefore, could risk congesting an area of the pitch which is already packed with options, especially with Christopher Nkunku due to arrive.

And this may be a transfer that Chelsea wish to avoid, even though the price-tag does make it somewhat tempting to investigate.
