Chelsea were heavy spenders during the summer transfer window and could splash the cash again next year.
Chelsea spent a lot of money when the market was open, bringing in Pedro Neto and Joao Felix for big fees.
However, the Blues were unable to sign an experienced striker, despite targeting Victor Osimhen. Chelsea tried to do a deadline day deal for Osimhen but were unsuccessful in the end.
It remains to be seen whether they will make another move for him. If they do not, it looks like they could turn to Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres.

Chelsea could make swoop for Viktor Gyokeres in 2025
Gyokeres was on fire for Sporting last season, scoring 43 goals in all competitions. And based on how the 26-year-old has started this campaign, it looks like he is going to hit a similar figure by the end of May.
So far, Gyokeres has netted nine times in just seven appearances, and his goalscoring form is clearly not going unnoticed.
According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are keeping the Gyokeres option open, with an exit next summer for the Swede now seen as likely.
Gyokeres will not come cheap, though. He has a €100m (£84m) release clause in his contract, something that Gyokeres himself has confirmed.
This is not the first time the Sweden international has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. In July, it was claimed that Chelsea held an interest in Gyokeres.
Viktor Gyokeres’ performance against Lille in the Champions League
One of the nine goals that Gyokeres has scored this season came in Sporting’s 2-0 win against Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
It was his only shot on target, according to Sofascore, but he still had a good match overall.
Gyokeres made four key passes, so his game can involve more than just scoring goals. But a goalscorer is what Chelsea fans will want to see added to Enzo Maresca‘s squad, with doubts about Nicolas Jackson’s finishing remaining.
