Chelsea have considered signing a new striker following Liam Delap’s hamstring injury.
Delap had to be taken off in Chelsea‘s 2-0 win against Fulham over the weekend and could now be out for up to two months.
Nicolas Jackson’s loan move to Bayern Munich has since been called off, while there has been plenty of speculation about Marc Guiu being recalled from Sunderland.
However, the Blues have also been linked with a few centre-forwards at other clubs ahead of the 7pm transfer deadline.

Chelsea have contacted Jorgen Strand Larsen’s agent
One No.9 who has been linked with a late move to Chelsea is Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Jorgen Strand Larsen.
On Sunday, Journalist Simon Phillips claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Club World Cup winners had reached out to Strand Larsen’s agents about a deadline day transfer.
According to the journalist, though, Chelsea would have to sell Jackson before signing Strand Larsen.
Bayern no longer appear to be an option for the 24-year-old, but with Newcastle United set to sell Alexander Isak to Liverpool, perhaps a move to St James’ Park could open up for him.
Jackson has been linked with Newcastle throughout this transfer window, but the Magpies are yet to make any kind of offer for him.
As well as Strand Larsen, Sporting Lisbon’s Conrad Harder is also thought to be attracting interest from Chelsea. However, the Dane looks more likely to join RB Leipzig.

How much could Jorgen Strand Larsen cost Chelsea?
It could take a ridiculous amount of money to get Strand Larsen out of Molineux at this stage of the transfer window.
Newcastle have already reportedly had a £55m bid for the 25-year-old rejected, and that was when Wolves still had time to find a replacement.
Chelsea, then, would obviously have to offer more than that, with there being no guarantee that Wolves would even accept their bid, given where we are in the transfer window.
Strand Larsen scored 14 goals in the Premier League last season, netting in his side’s 6-2 defeat to Chelsea at Molineux.
