Given the large amount of players signed by Chelsea every summer, the risk is high that a number of big-name stars will be left without a club willing to sign them permanently.
The Blues have already signed Liam Delap, and the additions of Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens are set to be announced in the coming days.
With at least two more signings wanted by Enzo Maresca, a number of first team stars are going to find themselves out of the club’s plans as the new season comes around.
The likes of Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix are free to leave, while Carney Chukwuemeka is another the club are looking to cash in on.

Borussia Dortmund looking to sign Carney Chukwuemeka on loan from Chelsea again
It is clear that the youngster has no part in Maresca’s plans at Stamford Bridge. He started just one game in freezing conditions in the Conference League before securing a loan to Borussia Dortmund.
Chukwuemeka made an instant impact at his new club, and they had a desire to keep hold of him when his temporary spell came to an end.
However, Ben Jacobs has claimed that the Bundesliga side, who qualified for the Champions League on the last day of the season, are only considering a loan deal for the Chelsea man.
He said: “Dortmund are in talks with Chelsea for a new season-long loan for Carney Chukwuemeka. German side hoping to finalise after the Club World Cup.”
Chelsea were holding out for a fee of £40m for Chukwuemeka, however if they want to permanently sell him that is going to have to come down to tempt other sides.

Chelsea risking repeating Romelu Lukaku nightmare with Chukwuemeka
Todd Boehly inherited an ongoing problem with Romelu Lukaku when he took over the club. The Belgian’s relationship with the club had clearly been destroyed, but given the near £100m they had spent on him, the prospect of anyone signing him for a decent fee was slim.
What followed were loan spells at Roma and Inter Milan, before Antonio Conte finally convinced Napoli to sign him permanently 12 months ago.
Chelsea lost an incredible amount of money when he finally moved on, and they are risking doing the same with current star Chukwuemeka.
The Blues should instead be looking for a permanent suitor to bring his time at the club to an end, even if this means lowering their demands for a deal.
