It may be late in the transfer window, but Chelsea could still make one big sale before it closes at 7pm.

Chelsea are yet to offload Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi. It has been claimed that Crystal Palace view Disasi as a potential replacement for Marc Guehi, but the Eagles are yet to make a move for him.

Nicolas Jackson is also still at the club after the Blues blocked his loan to Bayern Munich.

The striker was set to join the German giants until Liam Delap injured himself in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Fulham.

Chelsea could still sell Nicolas Jackson

Initially, it looked like Jackson would be reintegrated into Enzo Maresca‘s squad after Chelsea’s decision to call off his transfer to Bayern. However, there is no guarantee that actually happens.

According to journalist Jacob Steinberg, Chelsea selling Jackson is still “not out of the question”, with a move to Newcastle United seen as a possibility.

Newcastle have just signed Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart, but they could be forced to enter the market again if Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool goes through.

The Magpies have been linked with Jackson all summer. In mid-August, it was reported that Newcastle were seriously considering signing Jackson.

While the 24-year-old could be set to leave Stamford Bridge, Marc Guiu is about to return. He has been recalled from his loan at Sunderland following Delap’s injury.

How Bayern Munich can still seal Nicolas Jackson deal

Despite Chelsea scrapping the loan, if Bayern desperately want Jackson, they still may be able to sign him.

As per Sky Sports, Chelsea would consider a permanent sale or a loan with an obligation to buy.

While the Club World Cup winners are willing to offload the Senegal international, he is not a terrible player.

When former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent spoke about Jackson last year, he described him as a “quick” and “powerful” footballer. Where he gets to show that this season remains to be seen.
