Chelsea are prepared to double their transfer target’s current wages if he joins them at Stamford Bridge.
Even though the summer window is still over a month away, the transfer speculation is beginning to ramp up, especially when it comes to Chelsea.
It’s been claimed that Chelsea want new signings before the Club World Cup begins in the middle of June. What works in their favour is the fact that the summer transfer window will be split into two parts, beginning with a spell between 1 June and 10 June to allow business before the Club World Cup tournament.

Chelsea will double the wages of Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens
Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, 20, has been heavily linked with a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are considered favourites to sign Jamie Gittens, who’s dreaming of playing in the Premier League for the first time in his career.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Chelsea have expressed a very clear interest in signing Gittens this summer because they believe a player with his ability should be in the Premier League.
It is explained that the Blues are already in talks with the 20-year-old’s representatives to explore a transfer.
In fact, they are trying to tempt the Englishman into a move by possibly doubling his salary. He currently earns wages of around €3m (£2.6m) per year at Dortmund, but at Chelsea he could receive between €6m (£5.1m) and €7m (£6m) per year.
The report adds that Bundesliga giants Dortmund will be prepared to negotiate a Gittens transfer if they receive an offer somewhere between €50m (£43m) and €60m (£51m).

Jamie Gittens has asked to leave Borussia Dortmund, so let’s wait and see how his future plays out in the next few months.
Even though he can play anywhere across the attack, he predominantly stars on the left wing.
Former Premier League star Emre Can previously described Dortmund teammate Gittens as “incredible” via the Daily Record. On paper, the youngster’s profile certainly matches to Chelsea’s transfer policy across recent windows.

Jamie Gittens impresses in Borussia Dortmund win
On Saturday, Gittens started in attack during Dortmund’s 3-2 away victory against Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga.
The Englishman delivered an eye-catching performance despite all the transfer speculation around his future.
| Minutes played | Total shots | Chances created | Accurate passes | Penalties won | Touches in opposition box | Successful dribbles | Match rating |
| 68 | 2 | 1 | 25/27 (93%) | 1 | 7 | 1 | 7.1 |
From a Chelsea perspective, they already have a number of quality wide options with the likes of Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho in their ranks. Do they think the pace and directness of Gittens would boost them next year, though?
