Inter Milan are the latest club to register interest in Chelsea and France defender Malo Gusto.

Last month, it was reported that Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are keen on Gusto but the Blues want to keep hold of him.

However, they now seem more prepared to let the 23-year-old go this summer.

Chelsea would consider ‘good’ offer from Inter Milan for Malo Gusto

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Inter are thinking about making a move for Gusto when the transfer window opens.

Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that Chelsea are not actively looking to sell the right-back but would listen to a “good” offer for him.

It means Inter, PSG and Bayern all have the chance to sign Gusto ahead of the 2026/27 season.

He was Chelsea’s main right-back option last term, with Reece James spending time in midfield and some match days on the sidelines because of injury.

In total, Gusto made 49 appearances across all competitions, showing just how important he was for the Blues during the 2025/26 campaign.

However, Chelsea have James and Josh Acheampong, so it is not a shock to hear that Gusto is not viewed as untouchable at Stamford Bridge.

Why Inter Milan are keen on Malo Gusto

Inter’s interest in Gusto makes plenty of sense. They have lost Denzel Dumfries to Real Madrid, a right-back/right wing-back who is devastating going forward.

Gusto is also quite a good offensive full-back. He is quick and can put dangerous balls into the box, which is how he managed to register nine assists in his first season at Chelsea.

The France international did not always have the opportunity to do the above last term because he was often used as an inverted full-back, but he has the skill set to replace Dumfries.

Gusto moving to Italy would be good news for Acheampong, who is frustrated with his lack of game time at Chelsea.
