Chelsea revamped their striker options during the summer, signing Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

However, they are now being linked with a surprise move for Bayern Munich star and former Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane.

As part of their revamp, Nicolas Jackson was allowed to join Kane’s Bayern side, who recently beat the Blues 3-1 in the Champions League.

Despite his exit being quite an ugly one, the 24-year-old still has respect for the Blues. For example, Jackson was seen embracing two Chelsea coaches before the European tie.

Chelsea happy with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap

Pedro and Delap may not be on Kane’s level, but Chelsea still appear to be satisfied with their two summer signings.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea are happy with Pedro and Delap, who scored their first goals for the club in the Club World Cup during the summer.

Since then, Pedro has netted two times, punishing both Fulham and West Ham United in London derbies.

While he can also play in the No.10 position, which is where Enzo Maresca used him in those wins against Fulham and West Ham, former Fluminense youth coach Eduardo Oliveira sees Pedro as a No.9.

With Cole Palmer suffering from a groin injury right now, though, the Brazilian may have to play more games in the attacking midfielder role.

Chelsea long-term admirers of Harry Kane

In the past, it has been claimed that Chelsea would have liked to sign Kane, but his connection to London rivals Tottenham has always made things difficult.

TEAMtalk’s report states that Chelsea are still “long-term admirers” of the England striker and could jump at the chance to sign him if he becomes available.

The 32-year-old joining the Blues and ruining his Tottenham legacy seems very unlikely, though.

Kane is also enjoying his time at Bayern, scoring twice in their 3-1 victory over Maresca’s side in the Champions League. Kane is already closing in on the 100-goal landmark in Germany, showing how successful his time there has been.
